What Data We Collect

Nitro Compress collects minimal data to provide our image optimization service:

• Account Information: Email address, optional business name and contact name (for account creation)
• Image Files: Image files you upload for compression (temporary processing only)
• Usage Metrics: Number of images processed, bytes saved (aggregated statistics)

What We DON'T Collect

• No IP address logging or tracking
• No analytics or tracking cookies
• No third-party data sharing
• No persistent storage of your images

How We Use Your Data

• Images: Processed and deleted immediately after compression. We do NOT store your images permanently.
• Account Info: Used for authentication and API key management only
• Usage Stats: Displayed in your dashboard to show compression statistics

Data Retention

• Images: Deleted within 24 hours of processing (typically within minutes)
• Account Data: Retained until you request account deletion
• Usage Stats: Retained for service analytics (no personal data)

Data Sharing

We do NOT share your data with third parties. Your images are processed on our self-hosted infrastructure (no cloud services).

Your Rights

• View your API usage statistics in your dashboard
• Delete your account at any time (contact support)
• Disable compression via WordPress plugin settings

Security

All API communication uses HTTPS encryption. API keys are hashed and stored securely. We follow industry-standard security practices.
